Ethnic rhinoplasty before and after: dorsal augmentation with rib graft and projected tip, man

A young patient with an Asian nose: low, wide dorsum, a rounded tip with no projection and wide nostrils. In ethnic rhinoplasty the work is the opposite of the usual: nothing is removed, it is built. I performed an open structural rhinoplasty with ultrasonic system and micromotor, using a rib graft to raise and define the dorsum and to support and project the tip, and narrowed the nostrils. The photos, at 9 months, show a profile with a defined dorsum and tip and, in the base view, a narrow tip and more vertical nostrils. More about this technique on the ultrasonic rhinoplasty page.
