Upper & Lower Eyelid Surgery with Canthopexy - Case # 10550
This woman in her sixties had excess skin on her upper eyelids, hanging over the lashes, and on the lower ones too, which gave her a droopy, sad look. I performed an upper and lower blepharoplasty to remove that skin and, in the same procedure, a canthopexy to lift the outer corner of the eye. Local anaesthesia with sedation and one week of recovery. In the closed-eye photo you can see the upper scar, hidden in the eyelid crease and still slightly pink because the picture is recent. More about this surgery on the blepharoplasty page.
- Techniques: upper and lower blepharoplasty to remove excess skin and Canthopexy to elevate droopy look.
- Surgery performed under local anaesthesia and deep sedation.
- Recovery period: 1 week.
Before & After photos were disclosed under patient´s authorization for demonstration purposes. Surgery results depend on the personal characteristics before surgery.
