Upper Eyelid Surgery - Case # 10061
This 61-year-old woman had heavy, drooping upper eyelids with excess fat that gave her a tired look, excess skin on the lower lids and very marked crow’s feet. I performed a full blepharoplasty on all four eyelids and, in the same procedure, weakened the orbicularis muscle with an incision so the crow’s feet would soften permanently. Local anaesthesia with sedation, one hour of surgery and one week of recovery. The after photos were taken at six months, and no scar can be seen in any of the three: the upper one sits hidden in the eyelid crease. More about this surgery on the blepharoplasty page.
- After photos taken: 6 months post-op.
- Techniques/Scars: Upper and lower eyelid surgery combined with orbicularis muscle resection to permanently eliminate crow´s feet wrinkles; No noticeable scar on the upper lid as incisions were made on the eyelid crease.
- Eyelid surgery performed under local anesthesia and sedation and took 1h.
- Recovery period: 1 week.
Before & After photos were disclosed under patient´s authorization for demonstration purposes. Surgery results depend on the personal characteristics before surgery.
