Unilateral Breast Augmentation - Case # 1118
Before & After pictures from a young patient that lacked left breast development during puberty.
- Age: 18.
- No children.
- Height: 5’44”/ Weight: 119 lbs.
- Surgery: unilateral breast augmentation.
- Techniques: an implant was placed on the left breast to correct size asymmetry and inframammary crease was also created. A breast implant cannot produce 100% the same shape of a natural breast. However, left breast volume/size is now the same as the right-side breast and the patient can wear a bikini without noticing a size difference.
- Scar: Polytech, teardrop shape, filled to 360 cc, sub muscular placement.
- Cup size change: A to C.
- Unilateral Breast augmentation performed under local anesthesia and deep sedation and took 45 min.
- Recovery period: 10 days.
- After photos taken: 45 days post-op.
- Patient was indicated for asymmetry correction through implant placement on the left breast and a lift on the right breast – to achieve a more beautiful and symmetric result. However, the patient did not want to correct the right breast. She only wanted to achieve a better size symmetry, so the size difference would not be so noticeable through clothes.
Before & After photos were disclosed under patient´s authorization for demonstration purposes. Surgery results depend on the personal characteristics before surgery.
