Ultrasonic rhinoplasty before and after: nasal hump and undefined tip, young woman

Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty - Case # 83100

A young patient wanted a better profile: she had a prominent hump and a poorly defined tip. I performed an open rhinoplasty with ultrasonic osteotomies, a cartilage graft to the tip and turbinate correction to improve breathing, under general anaesthesia, in about two hours. She was back to normal life after a week. The photos, at 4 months, show a straight dorsum and a defined tip; the scar sits in the columella and is not visible. More about this technique on the ultrasonic rhinoplasty page.

  • Techniques: open rhinoplasty approach with autologous cartilage graft, ultrasonic osteotomy and functional cornet correction.
  • Scars: columella.
  • Rhinoplasty performed under general anesthesia and took 2h.
  • Recovery period: 1 week.
  • After photos taken: 4 months.

Before & After photos were disclosed under patient´s authorization for demonstration purposes. Surgery results depend on the personal characteristics before surgery.
